alright so after this weekend i will have finished my motorcycle safety class and will be able to legally ride a motorcycle. i am also inheriting a 2004 honda shadow 750. my concerns. i am 6'5'' and weigh 280. what are some things i should look out for with being such a big dude on a "small bike" (at least thats what i've heard from other
Welcome to the forum. The 750 should be your best bet for your starter bike. My 750 is my fourth bike and aside from wanting more power it fits me well and I'm happy. I'm 5'6" so forwards for you should be put on. Have fun.
V-Star looks really nice. Most of the Shadows look nice, but for some reason, the only model I do not care for is the Spirit. Whatever I get will either come wirh, or quickly be fitted with a tall windshield and hardbags. That is why I really like the ACE Tourer. #6.
158. Like you Dude, I am a Yamaha man when it comes to bikes, but the virago, is not a great bike. Like was said before the starter is crap and causes all kinds of bad electrical issues. Stick with the Honda. If you are looking for a cruiser the Honda Shadow is a great model and the prices now are cheap for everything.
Back to our subject photo, the bike on the right is a CB450SC Nighthawk. The combination of a wide silver stripe on the side cover and one piece cast aluminum wheels mean this is probably a 1983 model. The one on the left is quite a rare bird, a CB450S, the final 86-88 model where that bulletproof engine was given a more rigid perimeter frame . 82 389 12 213 66 218 277 32 347
